This pushes all of the right buttons with my favorite VegasPete dynamics. Super tasty, super brutal, and so good seeing this through Vegas' very troubled, violent and hungry POV. The way the author describes this dance of raw desire, lust, anger, violence and all shades in-between is absolutely delightful. Their dynamic is painted perfectly and the specific brand of brutality of this love of theirs is dripping through every paragraph.
This was a particular angle of their safehouse days that exists in the perfect space between them finally reaching for each other, for the things they can only have through each other, and the moment of Pete's tethers ultimately snapping. It's mouthwatering to be able to enjoy a little more of the raw, bloody, animal desire they shared in this particular setup.

Pete didn't want to die.

I read through this entire fic in one go and when I got to the end I literally squealed into my hand in the dark. This is seriously so so so delicious it's a little hard to articulate.
An alternative path for Vegas and Pete getting together — a mission has them falling into the classic delicious fake boyfriends trope and of course they're very good at it.
Scorching hot, even before we even get to the sex. Vegas and Pete's interactions drip with sexual tension, impossible to ignore even through all the layers of awkwardness and self-deprecation and bodyguard duty that lace Pete's (very well written) POV. The characters are spot-on, and the Author works Vegas' intensity and violence beautifully into the way he interacts with Pete.
Ticks some of my favorite VP boxes: we have BDSM elements, ownership, collaring, biting and marking, Vegas dressing Pete up, public displays of affection and kink, public smut... oh my. It's delicious stuff.
We also get to see their connection develop in a less horrifying scenario than the safehouse, which is actually very sweet. All the important elements are here, we get to see Pete helping Vegas through his abuse and opening up to Vegas about his childhood, too. It's quite lovely.
This one is going on my shelf. ☆

Summary
The problem is that in trying to be better, Vegas is mostly trying to not be himself. As though through sheer force of will he can erase the man that existed before and rewrite an entirely new one in his place. And Pete gets it, he does, the same way he knows that it isn't going to work. You cannot outrun the things that have been done to you.
The problem is a pattern starts to calcify between them where Vegas insists he's going to treat Pete right, that Pete deserves to be loved and treasured and Pete says that the seed of this thing they have was grown in a dark room, wrapped in chains and that he does not need Vegas to unmake himself from the foundations up.
Vegas survived. Now Pete has to show him how to live.

One of my favorite VegasPete works so far, and that's saying something. A single chapter of beautifully written prose, a very deep dive into their post-canon relationship that makes justice to their nuances as characters and the whole messy thing they have going on together.
It's a beautiful journey through Vegas and Pete figuring out how to fully be each other together, how to voice what they want and what they need, how to care for each other and how to stop running away from the parts of them that scare themselves. We see the tentativeness, the hesitation, the experimentation. We see what goes really well and what goes really bad. And it's all written in a really thoughtful and raw manner, with stunning metaphors and word choices — what I like to call word pleasure. Lots of it. Yum!
The kink is so, so well written. Hits all of the right notes for everything I love about VegasPete: pet play, ownership and submission, obedience, pain play, marking, bondage, praise... and of course, unending devotion and unbidden mutual desire. Just, delicious. Delicious stuff.
The emotional layers, the trauma and the way they figure themselves out and learn to communicate is so well written, too. And we have Porsche and Macau showing up as support characters who are very nicely portrayed, are complex in how they interact with the challenges of Vegas and Pete's new life, and are overall very loving and loveable. I love them all!
I am hungry and this feeds me. This fanfiction is a truly delightful meal.
Definitely going on my bookshelf! ☆

One of the most fantastic series on this website. I am entirely confident on this affirmation.
A complete, dense rework of the KinnPorsche series with a focus on VegasPete; an Alternate Universe where Pete starts off his work with the Theerapanyakul mafia at the Minor Family, working as Errand Boy to a young Vegas before ever becoming a bodyguard.
Their relationship builds and develops over an extended period of time, getting shaped over dramatic events in the dangerous space of the Minor compound, the horrors of Vegas' life from a very young age and the many challenges of Pete's reality as a tool who hasn't learned that he is allowed to want.
Complex, dense and captivating prequel stories, a complete rewrite of canon events through VegasPete lenses and an upcoming post-canon sequel that has me shaking with excitement and anticipation.
So good I want to have it printed out and bound into hardcover books to keep on my bookshelf. :)

This fic was a delight to read. It was amazing living inside Vegas' troubled (insane) mind over these 6 chapters. These characters are so interesting and have so much baggage, and Khun Author did an awesome job dissecting their little brains, especially of course in the way they weaved Vegas' POV.
And watching Pete from the outside is such a delight, too. Even better through the eyes of someone like Vegas, who has a better grasp than most on his various masks and emotional nuances, but still can't even get close if Pete won't let him through his walls. Delicious!
Lots of self-loathing and self-restrain on Vegas part. Lots of masking and hard times asking for what he wants from Pete's part (or both of them, really). Really great journey through how they work the trauma from the safehouse and the coup and everything, and figure out how to become a family.
Also features GREAT characterization of Macau and Porsche! Love them!! ☆

My favorite ABO fic so far. Breathtaking, action-packed actor AU, where we have beautiful Pete and Porsche staring in a controversial play that brings forth in-universe discussion on love and rights regarding secondary gender.
Meanwhile, mafia shenanigans move in ways that have all of our boys hiding secrets and playing their cards. Love, lust and lies tie the protagonists to the upcoming theater masterpiece and the Theerapanyakul cousins in a dangerous web of blood-red string.
High tension from the very beginning, hot and sweet in ways that got me kicking my feet and gasping. Got through 52 chapters so fast!

As I bookmark this I am still going through this series (emotionally preparing myself for the angst that follows), but just, this work specifically, it's so magical on it's own. This was probably one of the sweetest descriptions of falling in love with your best friend that I have ever read, made all the more emotionally enthralling by their arc of overcoming past trauma and abuse together as they live with the scars of loving men who are built to own.
This fic might just have made me fall in love with PetePorsche as a ship. I already very much love their best-friendship and do believe it should be canonical in every universe, and recently have been really enjoying fics that explore their attraction to each other (as they are obviously two very attractive boys who obviously care very deeply for each other). But I've been especially drawn to works that explore the ship in a playful manner, most often with background VegasPete (and sometimes KinnPorsche) as VP are my otp. This one though... it made me really see the beauty on them being just them, on the possibility that they could find support in each other to deal with the aftermath of the canonical mess of their relationships.
This features one of my favorite first kiss scenes ever. It's just so adorable, so warm and soft, innocent in a way that shouldn't feel possible in the dark universe of the series/novel. I felt so giddy, my heart fluttered, it was like I was living the moment where they are overwhelmed by the taste of their easy love right alongside them. I really really love it.
As a demisexual person, it was quite endearing having a fic so expertly build a relationship that starts not with hot, exploding sexual attraction, but with quiet trust, friendship, partnership. The desire is there, but it's not the pivoting force — it's something that enriches their bond as a way to love and express that love. But the love is built upon so much more.
The found family aspects of it all is also so very sweet. Porchay is a very fun presence and it's lovely seeing him react to their relationship. The poor boy complains about their sex life but it's clear he is relieved to see his brother finally in a healthy relationship with someone who wants to take care of him, of them.
It's Pete and Porsche and Porchay's little piece of heaven, by the beach. ☆

Probably my favorite Ellie/Joel so far. A perfect balance of hot and funny, the author nailed their character voices — the dialogue is great, had me laughing out loud several times and works really well as the highlight of this work, since it is a guided masturbation scene.

gives the family the best Christmas ever, but Morty misses what he needs to be 22% less caring to be able to give him. Morty is so damn broken, destroyed and smashed into Rick-shaped shards. Rickbot cares just enough to know how awful it is, but he’s Rick enough to still want him badly.
Beautifully written, character voices on point, and I absolutely loved staring at their messed up relationship through Rickbot’s self-hating lenses.

This does not sugarcoat how wrong the whole situation is — Rick knows he’s breaking Morty apart, and yet he won’t stop. Can’t stop. Morty knows he shouldn’t, yet he will let his grandpa have whatever he wants. My favorite thing about this is how innocent Morty is through the whole thing; how innocent he is in Rick’s eyes, and how that entices him in all the wrong ways. The shift between Morty running from the truth, then accepting it, then embracing it with soft, innocent love. If you can call it that when a mad scientist is grooming his 14-year-old grandson. Hot and sweet in all the wrong ways. Amazing.
