When Kaeya first set his sight on Albedo, he never expected for their lives to turn out the way it did. Still a simple Knight in training, what can he uncover about this mysterious new guy in town?
As for Albedo, his beginnings were quite different. Full of pain, misery & loneliness. When he arrives in Mondstadt & meets Kaeya for the first time. He grows aware of a new feeling - Irritated.
This so called Captain will stop at nothing until the two of them are friends - Oh how tiring!Though as they spend more time together as they grow up, their feelings turn into something different all together...
A series of non-linear one shot Kaebedo drabbles. Mostly fluff, some angst. Will focus on mostly Kaeya & Albedo during their lives in Mondstadt but other characters will appear. This is mostly Kaeya and Albedo pining for each other. I must warn you I take the 'Slow Burn' tag very seriously! Mostly set before current events in the game & the events in the webtoon.

Diluc’s jaw clenches and unclenches and when he meets Kaeya’s eye he’s all fiery determination. “Are you well?” He asks, only the vaguest hesitation cobwebbing the beginning of his speech before he clears through the stiff and the old and his voice rasps out, clearly and concerned. It reminds Kaeya eerily of the Dark Knight Hero's particular brand of awkwardness. Yet Diluc could never be anyone but himself, Kaeya supposes that is truly where their rift stems from, those fundamental differences, and yet here he is asking after Kaeya’s well-being like their years separated are nothing more than a snatch of time and not something that ate and corroded at them.
“Yes.” Kaeya breathes, smiling, a real smile this time. “I can take care of myself, you know, you didn’t need to step in.”
“I did,” Diluc argues.

In which Kaeya is a bit ooc because doesn’t know Diluc is the Dark Knight Hero and they somehow rekindle their brotherly bond one attempted murder at a time.

Summary
Diluc hated him at least as much as any Fatui strolling around Mondstadt. He would never forgive Kaeya for what transpired that night. He would never face him with anything but hatred and disgust in his eyes and voice. And that was what Kaeya, a sinner from Khaenri’ah, deserved.
Adelinde grabbed his arm, tight enough to hurt a little, and only then did he realize that he started laughing. Hysterically so. He blinked once, twice, slowly regaining his senses, the laughter dying down. Tears pricked at the corners of his eyes, though he refused to let them fall.
There was a tiny glimmer of hope shining inside his heart that tried to convince him that she was telling the truth. It cost him a lot of resolves to thoroughly shatter it, to grind it into dust. He couldn’t allow himself to grasp for foolish wishes. People like him didn’t get to do that. They didn’t get to hope for pleasant futures.

While out on a mission, Kaeya gets seriously injured. Diluc finds him, bringing him back to the Winery for recovery. Truths get revealed and the brothers finally have a long overdue conversation.
