"You came to my rescue," Jack says, voice dropped a little lower, all but batting his eyelashes Nico's way. "My dashing hero."
Nico snorts, downs the rest of his drink. It tastes like shit, but so does everything, this far out. They've got the technology to get the food out here, sure, but not to keep it tasting fresh. Jason swears it's something to do with the recycled air, that it fucks with their tastebuds. Timo always says he's full of it, but Nico's pretty sure he's just riling him up. It's as good a theory as any.
"You lay it on this thick with everyone, or am I special?"

Summary
Before Nico leaves to put on his gear, Jack pats his arm and smirks. “Go get ‘em captain,” he murmurs. Nico’s jaw drops against his will, feeling his face trying to morph into about ten different shades of red at once. (He also envisions getting on his knees if Jack calls him captain again, but unfortunately, he has a hockey game to go play.) He lets out a maniacal-sounding laugh that comes out more like a choke, practically sprinting away before he could blurt out something stupid.

Or, the one where Nico is captain of the New Jersey Devils and falls head over heels for Jack, who owns a coffee shop with his brothers.
