“Abigail?” she calls out, her voice scratchy. She clears her throat and tries again. “You in there? It’s, uh. Sadie Adler.”
A few seconds pass before, all at once, footsteps creak from the other side of the door and it opens.
“Sadie,” Abigail says. There’s a ghost of—something on her face, but Sadie can’t quite make out what it is. Abigail’s eyes flicker from the top of Sadie’s head to the bottom of her boots. “That really you?”
“Why do you ask?”
“...Because I didn’t think you were alive.”

John doesn’t understand, but he nods anyway. Another breeze blows through the air, and he shivers without meaning to. The ground is ice-cold against his bare feet. It’s fine, though--he’s used to it.
Suddenly there’s a warm weight on his head, and he reaches up to feel leather and rope. It’s a hat, worn and soft with age. He looks at Arthur, whose head is now uncovered.
“Keep it for the night, kid,” he says. There’s a faint smile on his face. “That little mop of hair ain’t gonna keep you warm.”

Summary
Trinity opens her mouth to say something and then snaps it closed again, certain that she heard Samira wrong. Because there was definitely no way that Samira Mohan just said that she would be Trinity’s date to her high school best friend’s wedding. It’s a bad idea for a million different reasons, but first and foremost, “I don’t think you understand. I made it sound like I was dating someone. They think I’m going to be bringing my girlfriend.”
“Okay,” Samira replies without taking even a second to consider it, which makes Trinity feel more than a little dizzy. Maybe she needs to sit down. “What’s the problem? You don’t think I can pull it off? Am I not your type?”
A strangled sounding laugh bubbles past Trinity’s lips before she can stop it, her gaze dropping down the length of Samira’s body and back up again. “That’s absolutely not the problem here.”

Summary
Distantly, he realizes that someone is crying. It takes him a second to realize that it’s him. He wipes roughly at his face with the sleeve of his shirt while Garrett and Hannah watch and wait for him to say something. No words come.
“You don’t have to talk to us,” Hannah says, moving slowly to perch on the end of Dean’s bed, laying a careful hand on his ankle. “But you should talk to somebody. Maybe a professional.”
He doesn’t want a professional. He doesn’t want Garrett, or Hannah, or Logan, or Tucker, or Jensen. There’s only one person still left on this earth that he wants to talk to, and he’s finally too tired to deny himself. He gives up. He surrenders. “Call Allie.”
