Summary
On the beaches of Darkshore, where the moon is black, the trees are corrupted, the animals are fleeing, and night lasts forever, the ruins of the War of Thorns have turned the land into a graveyard. The mass graves of those who died in the war lay in heaps of bones. A masked, nameless Alteraci man and a small mutant creature named Worm take upon themselves the insurmountable task of giving the Kaldorei in mass graves proper burials. As the land and the world fall into eternal night the two scavenge what they can from the ruins to survive. But while the animals and fish flee, they are not alone. Digging through the ruins, the pair uncover much about the war and each other.
