Summary
“You idiot.” Wilson slammed the exam room door shut.
House jolted upright. His magazine fell to the floor, slapping face down dramatically. “Hey! Can't a guy sleep in peace around here?”
Wilson's hands found his hips. “You're on heroin.”
“Wha?” A corner of House's mouth curled upwards in a laugh that almost proclaimed guilt. He shook his head, palm pointed up to the ceiling in a display of innocence. “Heroin? Where are you getting this?”
Wilson shook his head. “Cameron. She saw a needle in your trash can. She told me that you threw it away before she could test it.”
House went quiet. His expression blanked.
The oncologist frowned, his hands dug deeper into his hips. “House! You’re going to kill yourself! Or worse, they’ll put you in jail with your medical license revoked!”
“What is this weird obsession of yours with prison being worse than death?” House questioned, sarcasm returning as he caught back onto the banter.

Summary
Drips of sweat ran down his face, dripping onto the polished wood beneath him as House shook. His back arched as he finally felt the skin break, his whole body shook in white-hot pain, worse than his leg, worse than anything he had ever felt for that matter. House couldn't stifle a broken sob as blood streaked down his back, out of the split-open bumps.

Summary
“This is a love story.” | “This is a detective story.”
When Clark Kent follows a lead into Gotham, he doesn’t expect to find himself face-to-face with the city’s true guardian: a bat with fangs, claws, and a half-feral silhouette in the dark. Suspicious, circling him like prey, Batman tests every ounce of Clark’s resolve - only for Clark’s soft, fumbling devotion to slip through anyway (“What the hay, are those fangs?”).
Between the silk shawls and champagne smiles of Bruce Wayne, Gotham’s pretty boy prince, and the blood-hungry shadow of the Bat, Clark finds himself caught between two men - one golden, one monstrous - and falling for both. Too earnest, too desperate, too willing to kneel if it means being near him.
Or: three ways Clark Kent breaks Bruce Wayne’s walls by humiliating himself, by offering himself, and by never stopping.

Summary
Bruce Wayne had spent years perfecting the art of being underestimated. The impulsive, table-dancing, ice-sculptor-grinding, billion-dollar himbo persona kept people from looking too closely - especially at Gotham’s other nocturnal resident.
But with the Justice League newly formed, curiosity was brewing, and one caped Kryptonian in particular was determined to uncover the man behind the Bat. Clark Kent, investigative journalist and alien protector, was convinced Bruce Wayne’s friendship with Batman meant something more - maybe funding, maybe shared secrets. The problem? Bruce knew Clark’s game, and he was going to play it better. When a gala-turned-villain-attack forced Bruce to act in his Wayne persona and Superman swooped in to save him, the lines between charm and suspicion blurred. Bruce, ever the flirt, ran his hand over Superman’s bicep with a grin and purred, “You saved my life just for a question?”
It was going to take more than x-ray vision to win this bet.
When a simple bet turns to much more than two players hoped.
