There is nothing to be gained from denying this match and everything to lose. Summary

Hannibal Lecter, meanwhile, has all but given up on ever getting back to the Underworld and is resigned to a boring human life. He’s a shrink for magical beings, occasionally works for the FBI, and hunts. And that has to be enough. That is, until a definitely-not-dryad masquerading as a human named Will Graham comes into his life.

Baltimore, 1896. Hannibal has a steady practice as an alienist, a sometimes-but-not-really-familiar, and a living, breathing house with a beating heart.
The necromancer may have put much of his recreational activities on halt, sure, and his relationship with Will had reached a point where it was going no further, but he wouldn't say he had stagnated. Not quite. Not until in his absence someone else takes up the mantle of the Chesapeake Ripper, and thus begins a series of events that forces Hannibal and Will to address the skeletons in their closets, and either grow closer or fall apart as a result.

Summary
Truth be told, Hannibal does not remember much of what happened after. He remembers black waves and the choking sensation of salt water as it poured into his throat, the wild, buffeting current and the scrape of rocks against his back carving gashes in his flesh and mingling his blood with the water at the same time that the sea salt cleansed his raw wounds. He remembers Will’s arm around him like a tightening rope, firm and unmistakable. He does not remember how Will must have dragged his limp, unconscious body onto the small pebble beach downshore, where the boat – Will’s boat – was waiting.
After the fall, Hannibal finds himself on a boat with Will, headed for the Greek isles. Unsure if Will still wishes to kill him after their escape, and unwilling to believe that the life he’d once dreamed of for them is coming to fruition at last, Hannibal resolves to wait and see what Will has planned for the two of them. Slowly, the two of them renegotiate their understanding of where they stand with each other.

Summary
When Will realizes that Hannibal is the Copycat Killer in Minnesota, he also realizes one other thing: pointing the finger at Hannibal without any evidence would get him nowhere. So, he keeps his mouth shut. As he mourns his friendship with Hannibal and tries to untangle his complicated feelings on the betrayal, he also starts to draw him closer, desperate for a motive behind the sick game he played with his life and for any evidence that real affection had existed between them at all. As Will's trial, and the real threat of the death penalty, draws nearer, he begins to realize that his fate may rest in his ability to convince Hannibal that he likes him better alive. And furthermore, if he survives this, that he has to decide what he wants to do with Hannibal afterwards.
Or, a season 2 rewrite fic where Will decides that earning Hannibal's trust and breaking it at an opportune time is much sweeter revenge than putting him in prison. That is, if he can avoid falling into his own trap.

Inspired by a post I saw months and months ago on Tumblr about how Jack was always ready to give Will whatever he needed to catch the Chesapeake Ripper, money and resources be damned. And this was born. It's lighthearted, a little cracky, and written in the style of short little snapshots into their developing relationship over the course of many months.

A hundred-year sleep and a complete loss of memory aren’t enough to keep Link from finishing the job he’d left undone. The Calamity is sealed. The worst is over. They’ve even managed to come out of this ordeal without grievous injury, Link and the princess both—even Ganondorf, whose survival should have been impossible.
They’re here now, though, and safe. But as Link very quickly comes to understand, safe doesn’t necessarily mean whole.
His head’s a jumbled up mess these days, but he’s determined to push through it all the same, to figure out this whole After situation. It’s just, getting swept up in Ganon’s very intense presence isn’t really conducive to him thinking straight…
Because the thing is, no matter how hard Link had laughed earlier, no matter how relieved he is that this whole mess is finally over, he still hasn’t shaken that itch in the back of his mind. The hole in his memories is still there, demanding his attention as much as it ever has. The hurry voice isn’t gone. It’s only changed, urging him now to remember instead.
