Summary
2015. Alexandra “Alex” Alova returns to Krasnoyarsk after twelve years in Moscow, fleeing a devastating loss. She’s back to launch a major regional online outlet called The Line. At least, that’s the official story. Alex lies as easily as she breathes — and she’s hiding the real reason she came home.
Katerina Efremova has built a successful life running a car dealership. She loves her work and the world she’s built. The last person she wants to see is Alex — her former best friend and source of bitter pain. But something criminal is unfolding inside the dealership, pulling her into danger.
Vera Reygel is a talented but awkward journalist at a dying newspaper. She dreams of a strong woman who could be both lover and safe haven. Some wishes are better left unfulfilled.
Evgenia “Zheka” Bashirova is broke, reckless, and famously promiscuous. Yet the only woman she wants is Vera, who sees her as nothing more than a friend.
And then there is Polina Ageeva — a mysterious woman whose presence will bind all four of them together in ways none can escape.

Hello, new people! This originally started as a “writing bootcamp” for the Hacks fandom; however, this series is moving past my original idea. So I welcome you to my writing tips brain vomit.
I learned an extremely valuable and painful lesson when I publicly offered to beta for someone recently. So instead of making that same mistake twice, I’m offering my bag of tricks that make writing a hell of a lot easier for me in the hopes that they’ll help you, too.
I know fandom, and I know how this offer may come across. Who am I to offer unsolicited advice? I’m no one. I’ve had 20 years of experience writing fic and original works, however, and considering the request I and a few other experienced writers received recently, I feel this bag of tricks may come in handy for newer writers. In any case, I know I would have benefited from something like this when I was starting out.
If you don’t feel comfortable with the idea of changing any part of your writing process, that’s your prerogative and I respect that boundary. The last thing I want to do is put someone on edge or make them question themself and/or their writing. If even looking at this series makes you uncomfortable, please skip over it.
