The smell itself was mouth watering, it smelled like warm chocolate combined with what she best could describe as what a comfy lazy day smelled like in the most comforting way. It was just unfortunate it was him.

Summary
Story of Teddy and Billy set in Victorian Britain. One is a translator in the Foreign Office, the other a foreign prince.
William Kaplan is an underpaid and overworked civil servant working for the British Foreign Office, serving as an interpreter and translator, and with no foreseeable prospects of promotion. He leads a lonely and isolated life, having almost convinced himself that he is happy and content in his little life of solitude.
His carefully built life of self-deceit and the pretence of being utterly normal is however disrupted when he is ordered to serve as an interpreter for a visiting foreign prince. The man he must accompany is so unlike any other person William has ever met, who just with his gentle demeanour and handsome looks makes the Englishman realise the hollowness of his life.
Can he supress the wrong and illegal feelings he starts to have for the Prince, feelings he has for so long kept in control, or will they set him on a road to ruin and cause his downfall?
