Slick squinted again, this time ignoring the strain on her eyes from just how shiny Joule was. "She didn't forget about you, Slick." With a surprising amount of gentleness, Joule took Slick's hand, emphasis in her voice enough without needing to shake the oil tanker's hand. "I do have two questions, though, but I suppose one can't be asked until you've come to. " Slick gave her a nod, signaling that she could continue. "Do you regret what you do?"

Ruby traced her fingers down Nicole’s jaw, meeting her eyes.
“Like what? Using a rope and a blindfold?” She said with a laugh. Nicole tried to laugh it off with her, but Ruby saw the change in her eyes, the heat that suddenly clouded Nicole's gaze. Ruby had gotten good at reading Nicole, and the look in her eyes was raw, unmasked longing. “Oh, you liked that…”
It wasn't a question, so Nicole didn't answer. She was definitely not thinking about it, about Ruby’s hands holding her, about ropes tying her up and a blindfold over her eyes as she could only feel what Ruby would do to her. Nope, she was not thinking about that at all.
