There was an unexplainable power behind RAD WEEKEND, something that might not be possible to replicate. When does one decide that it’s time, that the event is surpassable now? How long will it take to get to that point? Where Vivid BAD SQUAD’s vocals are good enough and every member feels they’re ready? Will it take five months? Five years? Would they last five years? When will it be time for Akito to say, with no doubt in his heart, that he loves this city—warts and all? What comes next? Is Vivid BAD SQUAD limited to this small town forever? Will their legacy, alongside RAD WEEKEND’s, eventually pass on? Would Akito accept that? Could Akito, not the whole group, could Akito Shinonome surpass RAD WEEKEND with all his might?
Akito is no longer “Akito” without music, without this event, without his group. Sometimes, that realization is terrifying, but he wouldn’t live life any other way. Akito swears he’ll never let the fire he lit years ago burn out.
Or: To Akito Shinonome, Ena is the strongest person the world has ever seen. He wants to be just as strong, no matter the cost.

Summary
He can never face the stage again, not after smearing mud all over the place he once admired so much. He fucked up, embarrassed himself, and wasn’t able to face it, wasn’t able to bare the consequences. So, instead, he dropped music. He gave up on that silly dream, the one that looking back, never really seemed possible to begin with. It was a stupid decision, he realized quickly, because, without music, he is nobody. Music was the flame that burned in his heart, that kept pushing him forward, but he snuffed that flame out with his own two hands.

An alternate universe where Akito quit music the day he messed up at Crawl Green, which leads to him meeting a strange boy on a cliff.

He stares up at her, his gaze containing nothing but seething rage that was only held back by the fact that he doesn’t know what she’s doing here.
She stares down at him, her face mixed with small emotions that blend into an expression almost impossible to read. Her feet are glued in place, only to be moved when she knows he won’t attack.
They both stare at each other, minds on alert. They’ve been on alert since getting to this place known as hell, no god or miracles left to save them.
Or at least him. But as the clock ticks down to his final moments, he wants to know why she’s here. Why she cares.
She wants to know too.
