Summary
Izuku dragged himself to his desk, tore it apart until he found the paint set his mother had bought him to shut him up on his last birthday. He found an old canvas in the corner and wiped the dust off. He turned the light on, and he put brush to canvas, and he let that pain flow into the colors. Izuku let the ache in his bones, the searing red coating his throat all dribble across the canvas like the blood that he continued to cough up, splattering his desk.
Minutes or hours later, it was dark outside his window and the glow of his desk lamp was the only light in the whole apartment. He stood up, covered in red and green, black and white. He’d sobbed the pain and emotion from his body but not through tears. His fingers were coated in paint and he felt…better.

OR: Izuku finally gives up on being a hero, and accepts that he's never felt as free as when he paints. So he decides to become an artist and put his past pain to canvas for the word to see.

“It’s okay, Toshi. I’m not scared of a quirk. Just do what they say, please.”
Toshi sighed, “Fine.”
“Good choice. Now, activate Izuku’s quirk as directed and return your chains to your wrists or, again, measures will be taken to persuade you.”
“Izuku?”
“Yea-”
Izuku’s mind went blank. He felt his shoulders slump and his world go foggy and darker than it had been only a second ago. He had no control of his limbs or any real desire to do anything.
“Izuku - activate your quirk.”

OR: Izuku and Hitoshi are captives in an underground fighting ring, but maybe one day, someone will come to their rescue... but will they even need rescue at that point?

Izuku mocked his words, repeating them back as he stood up and grumbled, “Shut up.”
“You-”
“Shut the fuck up!” Izuku screamed. His body stumbled sideways. His shoulder caught on the wall and kept him upright as he focused on keeping his breathing stable. “You can have that damn quirk. You can have it…have it- and…” He took another few breaths and pushed up until he was standing, finally. “You can fucking die with it.”

OR: Izuku is kidnapped by AFO and tortured. It leaves him missing more than just OFA, but also a large part of himself and pieces of his body. Getting back to 'normal' will be a struggle, but he's got support, right?

Summary
Izuku stared down at the candle in his hand. The wax was melting around the base and warming his hand through the paper cover. It might not be burning, but he wished it was. He didn’t want to be here. Actually, that was a lie, he wanted to be here but he wished this was a regular monthly meeting instead of a vigil. This was the third vigil he’d been to this year, and it was only February.
Last night, a six year old girl named Asami Sato took her life by swallowing a bottle of her mother’s pills. She did this only two hours after her own mother told her she should never have been born.
Asami Sato was born quirkless. She was six, and had not developed a quirk at four like the majority of the population.
Now, Asami Sato was an Orchid. A beautiful, fleeting memory.

OR: Izuku is quirkless, and All Might doesn't see his potential for heroics. His last effort to become a hero gets him accepted into UA as the first quirkless student - but the universe just keeps trying to break his spirit.

“As of this moment, your mock mission begins. So! Congratulations, you’ve been selected for a rescue mission in the Swiss Alps. You will work in predetermined teams and search out mountain climbers who have been reported missing. Your goal is to find your assigned climber with the clues we’ve provided and get them and your whole team safely down the mountain in the appointed time frame.”
As their teacher paused, the whole class leaned back in horror at the way he grinned. It was rare the man didn’t hide his smirks in his capture scarf, and when he didn’t, it usually spelled misfortune for someone around him.
