    “I saw her,” Ruby chokes on a wet sob, her chest stuttering against Weiss’. “I-I saw her, in the Ever After. I saw—the Blacksmith, she—”
    Weiss coos under her breath, running her fingers through Ruby’s hair, dragging her nails against her scalp. There’s sand in her hair, gritty and definitely getting all over Weiss’ bed.

    Another harsh sob tears its way out of Ruby’s throat, painful and desperate.

    “I want my mom—” she manages.

    I can't stop thinking about Ruby's mental health and how much the people around her love her anyway. I love these characters to pieces
