Hell, Ilya was terrible at guessing kids’ ages. She had black hair, pulled up in pigtails, and very pretty brown eyes. She was holding a stuffed cat that looked well-loved in her arms. It seemed to be missing an eye. She gave him a once-over and suddenly Ilya felt like he was being inspected.
Suddenly remembering that he was only wearing underwear, Ilya pulled the covers up to his chin. “Um. Hello,” he said.
“Why are you in Dad’s bed?”
