Summary
Opening the front page of the notebook, it’s clear that it’s full of random doodles and irrelevant notes. There’s a few frog drawings that progressively become better and detailed, and Simon is about to close it and place it in his bag to find the owner tomorrow, when he flicks to the last page to see if it’ll reveal anything about who it belongs to.
His mama is singing in the kitchen as she prepares dinner- the smell of spices wafting all over the house, Sara is on a call with a friend in her room, his fish are swimming calmly in their tank, and Simon’s jaw drops. The last page of the lilac notebook is adorned with multiple phrases that range from ‘Simon Eriksson’ in beautiful calligraphy, to ‘curls curls curls curls curlscurlscurls’ and ‘urghrsngn hiiiiiissss eeeeyyyyyyeeesssss’ and ‘his voice is magical, i could listen forever’ and ‘what do i dooooooo0o0o0o0o0?????’ with hearts and stars patterned across the margin.

Summary
With a hand that was shaking only so little – only little because he had learned to control it – Wilhelm reached out for the powder case on his vanity. The quiet click of the box, the touch of the soft puff on his skin, the familiar smell of his makeup helped to soothe the tension. It was a ritual that gave him peace for a minute – his very own rhythm when he pulled his stockings all the way up his thighs and fixed the straps of his garters. When he adjusted the tape around his head that would hold the wig in place. When he dipped the brush into the creamy lipstick to color his mouth red – paint it lush and plump the way it never looked when he was being Wille. When he was being someone else. Someone ‘real’.
Wilhelm Lundberg – the boy behind the mask – he was nothing. There was nothing about him to catch anyone’s attention. Nothing noteworthy. Nothing lovable. And it was probably his own fault, for he was hard to love.
“Get your ass up, you’re on in five!”, the assistant shouted and pulled Wille from his musing.
Right. He had a show to do.

Summary
Simon has been waiting for this promotion for years. He’s worked his ass off every single day, dedicated every second of his spare time to getting ready for the job and to become worthy of it. So, when the day of the announcement of the new editor-in-chief of Makalös arrives, he’s positively buzzing. As the email finally appears in his inbox, he opens it with trembling hands and reads–
New editor-in-chief: Wilhelm Larsson
And who the fuck is that?
Wilhelm doesn’t even want this job in the first place. The only reason he applied is that he needed a new employment after getting fired from the newspaper he’d been working at for – hilariously enough – simply doing his job. The catch? He doesn’t know anything at all about fashion, and who the hell reads this stuff nowadays anyway?
So, when the recruitment office messes up and he becomes the new editor-in-chief of Makalös, he finds it more than a little funny. The same, however, cannot be said for his very hot – but murderous looking – senior editor.
~
TLDR: Simon and Wilhelm work together at a fashion magazine and want to ruin each other – in very different ways.
