Yelena Belova, a college student trying to ride out the last few years of her masters so she can finally get a job as a social worker and do some good….and maybe fuck some pretty girls in the meantime. Melissa Gold, her roommate and recent graduate trying to find her way in the working world. Both women have their demons, both are trying to hide from them.
That all changes when they meet two women.
Ava Van Dyne Starr, also a college student. She’s studying biomedical science so she can help people like herself. She’s sick, always riding the line between life and oblivion but she wants to do as much good as she can while she’s here. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Ava’s adopted mother. Her two loves are Ava and her work and sometimes it’s hard to tell which comes first.
It all changes when they meet Yelena and Mel.
For Yelena and Ava it was a chance meeting at the library. For Val and Mel, it was Mel’s interview to be her assistant. Follow along as they navigate their way through, love, friendship and loss.
