He's got a worm in his brain, a compulsion for violent murder, and a group of people he wants to keep alive at all costs. Which might be harder than he thinks since his father wants Karl to kill everyone and doesn't take 'No' for an answer.

A dark fantasy story with horned beasts, self-destruction, magicians, a spiral into violence, swearing, a pregnant trans guy, overindulgence in semicolons, weird sex, elaborate metaphors, run-on sentences, too many fantasy titles, fucked-up blood magic, and no romance whatsoever. Characters include a trans guy with anger issues, what happens when you force an autistic closeted transfem into a fantasy kingdom, a foul-mouthed nonbinary magician, and a terminally optimistic knight. Come for the mpreg, stay for the vague horror at the mpreg guy's descent into violent revenge.

Ninox Ryrrl awakens with no memory of his past. He now finds himself the leader of a band of other unfortunate illithid worm infected individuals, and beset by urges for things he does not understand. Navigating the demands others place on him, his own ravaged mind, and a growing relationship with a vampire spawn, all amid trying to find a cure for the infection they all share might be what breaks him. Or it may be what saves him. Only time will tell.
This is my retelling of Act 1 with my Dark Urge, combined with my own head-cannon and world building.
