Minho stayed silent, letting him finish, giving him as much time as he needs to speak. “I… I like you, hyung. Heck, I even love you. And… and it hurts. It hurts so much that I can’t date you…” tears started brimming in the corners of his eyes, but he tried to hold it in as much as he can, his chest aching from the effort. Minho didn’t know what to say, processing jisung’s words. “I… I love you so much it hurts to pretend, and I don’t think I can keep doing it, hyung… I can’t keep pretending it’s fine when it’s fucking killing me…” he sniffled, letting his tears fall. He wiped his cheeks “just tell everyone we broke up… because I can’t keep a fake relationship anymo—”

“No,” Jisung cried. “No. Please don’t.” Jisung tried to breathe, tried to gasp for air to continue his begging, but his lungs refused to fill. The terror that grasped Jisung’s body was unlike anything he had ever felt before. These alphas couldn’t take him. They couldn’t. Jisung couldn’t take any more pain, couldn’t live every day in fear.

Jisung knows Minho is really handsome, he has eyes of course, he noticed immediately when he first laid eyes on him. Up close, it feels ten times worse. Jisung can see every imperfection, every slight scar, every bump on his skin. He has to fight the urge to reach out and touch, because there is no way in hell Minho is interested. He cannot be, Jeongin told him, he is straight, admittedly a little ambiguously if Jisung can believe Jeongin, but straight nonetheless.
