It’s your first full rookie season as a Formula 1 woman driver. As each race ticks by you are stuck, trying to find out who you’re supposed to be, how to stand up for yourself, and the most important attribute of it all, how to win. But sometimes you make more enemies than friends- and the only friend you do manage to obtain, you got a major crush on.
Because your 19th year is far different than a regular girls - obviously. So to you, life was pretty complicated...

Summary
Nico never intended to be a reporter. They gossiped and speculated and spread rumours they had no business even thinking about. He liked some of them well enough, and he liked being able to cause a little chaos here and there by pointing out the shit that other reporters liked to gloss over. He never intended to retire from F1 alone, either, or that early into his career. It seemed like the right thing to do, at the time.
Lewis never intended to think about Nico this much, let alone on a race day. Then again, it's hard not to think about him when he's up in the commentary box showing pictures of the two of them as kids.

“We’ll win together, right?” he said after a long, long while.
Nico nodded, hearing his hair rustle over his pillowcase with the movement. It seemed unconscionably loud. “Of course, Lew. When we get to F1, we’ll be teammates, and we’ll win. Promise.”
“Promise,” Lewis repeated.
Nico didn’t know when he fell asleep, but he remembered the morning. He remembered waking up curled into Lewis like a sunflower towards the sun, and how it felt as natural as breathing to move a little closer and stave off the start of their day a little longer.

Summary
So, the Monaco Grand Prix kind of sucked. No overtaking, slow laps, longest race on the calendar—not really enjoyable to watch. SkySports wanted to make it a little more interesting for viewers, and how better to do that than bringing in some former drivers? Have them commentate, maybe reminisce about the good old days—nothing could go wrong, right?

Kevin hummed thoughtfully. “Marry Lewis, of course.”
“Of course,” Jenson said, Kimi nodding in agreement.
“Still kill Nico.”
Kimi nodded again, but Jenson shook his head. “No, I’m killing Sebastian.”
Kevin made a disgusted face. “You’re fucking Britney? Really?”
“Not at the moment, no."

Summary

Summary
The legacy of your grandfather comes with a heavy crown, one partially melted and reformed in flames that should have killed him. Akin to the fire that should have killed you but took your mother instead, leaving you with the same scars that Niki Lauda wouldn’t wish on another, least of all his own grandchild.
Yet here you stand, drawing the ire of McLaren’s golden boy, with a twisted crown of his own to wear as you throw everything he was used to into the flames. You force him to adapt overnight when you join the team suddenly after an unknown incident that sends you sprawling as you try to cope with the sudden change in team.
You terrify him. And he terrifies you. And somewhere, James Hunt is cackling that Niki Lauda’s granddaughter is frighteningly similar to him.
