Summary
It's stupid, obviously, but it's kind of intriguing to imagine what it would be like if they'd ever come eye to eye.
He'd probably faint and die if it ever happened in real life. He'd absolutely embarrass himself, maybe stutter a few incoherent words before blacking out, but-
But a man can dream, right?

Summary
“Don’t worry, guys,” Hen calls, crossing the last of the space between them, “it’s nothing serious. Our Buck just had a certain kind of dream about someone from this team.”
“It’s no big deal,” Buck says, but his face is still flushed.
“As long as it wasn’t about me, I agree,” Chim says, and Buck immediately pulls a face.
“Ew, no,” he groans. “You’re married to my sister.”
“And your captain,” Chimney adds, but then pauses. “Though I guess that’s not really a deterrent.”
Everyone laughs, and Eddie remembers a second too late that he should join in. It’s just– if the dream wasn’t about Chimney, who was it about? Hen is a lesbian, and he really doesn’t think Buck could ever be into her like that. Ravi? He and Buck are partners now, and he sees them laugh and joke all the time, but…it’d be weird, right? Wrong, somehow.
“So who was it about, then?” Ravi asks with a big grin. “Wait, don’t tell me – it was totally about Eddie, wasn’t it?”

Summary
There's a clear plastic container on the kitchen table. Eddie sets the bag down warily on the counter, approaches it warily, as if it's a live grenade. Which is prescient, he realizes a moment later.
It is, as the message suggested, a cake. A small one, sized so that a person could eat it in a single sitting if they were feeling greedy and indulgent. Chocolate layers, topped with a silky-looking ganache; Buck even sprinkled little curls of white chocolate around the edges for decoration. Lettering piped in bright red frosting, uneven but perfectly legible, reads, DON'T IGNORE ME, I SUCKED YOUR DICK.

Summary
Sometimes Eddie forgets how much time has passed since he first showed up on the trailer’s doorstep, how much he’s grown since then. But as he takes in Wayne’s features, he finds a reminder in the new lines he discovers on his uncle’s face, little signs of age that make his heart grow and sink at the same time.
It hits him then, out of nowhere, how much of his life Wayne has given up for Eddie. To raise him and help him become the man he is today. How much love he poured into his upbringing, despite all the trouble he put him through. (...)
And it makes him wonder, how a man who has so much love to give never ended up with a family of his own.
"Can I ask you something?”
Wayne looks up from his paper with raised brows, waiting for Eddie to continue.
“Did you ever regret not having kids?"
