When a blank envelope shows up in the mail, Phoenix thinks it's the usual yearly update. When he reads it though, terror floods his mind. He must take action. He has to save her. They are in this fight together. And he can't ask his friends for help. He can't put them in danger. Not again. Not after what happened last time. But will he regret his decision? (yes, of course he will because it's a stupid decision)

Summary
Eddie has everything under control. Sure, he's in love with his best friend, and his alpha keeps wanting to protect Buck from everything which is a problem because of their jobs, but everything is under control.
Until Buck gets hurt on the job. Again.

Buck has liked Eddie for nearly a year now. It's kind of hard to not fall in love with your alpha best friend when he's as perfect as Eddie is. And then the guy goes ahead and punches someone for him.
