Summary
Rhaenyra, Viserys' only Alpha child, never has to worry about her claim to the Iron Throne. But that doesn't save her family from hatred and conflict.
After her second son, Lucerys, takes Aemond's eye, the tension between the two sides of the family grows even worse. To keep the peace, Rhaenyra arranges a marriage between her eldest son and heir, Jacaerys Velaryon, and Alicent's Omega son, Aegon.
For a while, everything seems fine.
But something beneath Aemond's skin continues to itch, an unease he can neither name nor escape. And after Viserys dies and Rhaenyra returns to King's Landing with her sons, everything starts falling apart.
