Summary
Sirius Black is larger than life, impossible to ignore. He smokes, drinks, kisses halfbloods, and laughs like he’s above it all.
His friends think that makes him brave, rebellious and intoxicating in all the right ways. But they’d be horrified if they knew what really went on in his head.
If they saw the real himThe part that still said "yes, sir" when called. The part that still bled for his brother. The part that wondered if he was already too much like them to get out clean.
He works hard to keep the two versions of himself separate. But it’s starting to feel like a losing battle.
Especially when Remus Lupin is looking at him like he might see past the performance— and doesn’t flinch.
“Remember the garden party? When she hexed us over ruining our jackets—”
“Must’ve dreamed that,” Sirius said, too smooth.
Because this was a Gryffindor party, and Gryffindors didn’t talk like that.
Didn’t get hexed by their mothers and call it normal.OR
A canon-compliant, coming-of-age longfic, spanning 1974 to 1979. Found family. Poor coping mechanisms. Slow burn Wolfstar. Morally grey Sirius.

Summary
After returning home from Under the Mountain, everyone is struggling to cope with the trauma of Amarantha's reign. Rhys lingers in the shadows at the Spring Court, concerned about Feyre's mental health, and his presence spurs events to unfold in unexpected ways.
The plot covers the events of A Court of Mist and Fury with major alterations. In this AU, we see what could have happened if characters were honest with each other, and talked things out rather than speaking in riddles or just avoiding topics altogether. We also get some actual apologies for egregious behavior that got glossed over in canon (looking at you, Rhys Under the Mountain) and big reveals that get put off to later books or not at all (looking at you, Lucien's paternity).
Relationships in this AU are fully consensual rather than based on bargains made under duress, half-truths, or huge power imbalances, so romances that had an enemies-to-lovers flavor feel more like friends to lovers.

Summary
Back in Velaris, having successfully infiltrated the Spring Court and escaping in one piece, Lucien struggles to readjust to life with Rhys’s Inner Circle. He hates feeling like an outsider, especially when his own mate seems to barely notice his presence. Lucien must negotiate the tenuous alliances with the other High Lords, as well as appeasing the unusual allies he finds closer to home, while trying to find a way to Elain’s heart.
Elain hates living amongst so many powerful, unpredictable, violent faeries, but even more, hates the fact that she is now one of them. She can’t get the visions out of her mind - terrible violence and suffering that she doesn’t know how to interpret. When her forebodings start to revolve around her handsome mate, she must overcome her fears, or risk losing him forever.
This story includes my take on such questions as:
-What if Azriel’s lurking around Elain was less benign and had real consequences?
-Who fulfills Feyre’s bargain with Bryaxis?
-Isn’t it time for Helion and Lucien to team up to rescue Lucien’s mother?Sequel to Clever Fox, Part 1, which explores an alternative timeline of ACOMAF, and Part 2 which explores the beginning of ACOWAR.
