When his coughing fit finally dwindled down, he peeked past the curve of his elbow, gently nudging Naib’s side to get his attention. He got a soft noise of acknowledgement. “Do you still want to…do anything?”
Naib’s brows furrowed, his eyes moving before his head to lock eyes with Norton.
“Did you want to?”
Norton looked off to the side, the lights of the manor reflecting in his eyes. “Yeah…”
“Yeah?” Naib slowly began to undo the scarf around Norton’s neck, not once looking away from his face.
“Mhm…” Norton swallowed thickly, looking through his dark lashes. “Yeah, I do. Still do.” He glanced at the small dribble of drool around Naib’s mouth, unsure whose it was. “I really do.”
