Welcome back, my dear readers. It is with utmost pleasure that I tell you that the Baudelaires had, in fact, managed to make it back to mainland. The journey was harsh and cruel, and I struggled for many years to find where they had gone, but they arrived relatively unscathed - a word which here means ‘to have arrived without suffering from any injury, damage, or harm’. However, the word ‘unscathed’ does not in fact mean ‘to know where you are’, and so therefore it can be used to accurately describe the Baudelaires.
