Akira’s pain in his throat and stomach seemed to only get worse as more of his energy was used. He felt more sluggish and clumsy, like he hasn’t slept in days while starving. He wasn’t dumb, he knew the cause of the pain; he needed blood. He knew it was stupid to avoid what he needed most to survive, but he feared that he may lose the scraps of humanity that were left.

Leafpool was currently sitting in a grassy field with other cats —that like her— had stars in their pelt, except one. There was currently a sand-colored tom with dark brown spots sitting uncomfortably. Leafpool could see the anxious body language, the front paws fidgeting, his tail slowly moving back and forth, and his pinned back ears.
“Baypool.” A white fluffy she-cat with beautiful green eyes, named Moth Flight, spoke. “Are you ready to begin your trial?”
The way Moth Flight spoke to Baypool sent shivers down Leafpool’s spine. Since Leafpool had been in StarClan, Moth Flight always seemed to have a threatening aura. She and Moth Flight never got along, the struggle started as soon as Leafpool’s own trial started.
