Seven years ago, Vox removed the thorny rose garden that coiled around his heart in an attempt to separate himself from his feelings for Alastor.

Summary
Alastor, Altruist, Died for his Friends. That was the headline. Vox made sure it was plastered all over Hell the moment he'd seen that demon flee for his life. After he remained missing, Vox accepted that he really was dead. Dead and gone. No rival. He and the Vees were now free to rule Hell as the Overlords they'd always dreamed of being, and the plans were finally in motion.
Then Vox went out for donuts, and everything came crashing down. Because Alastor wasn't dead.
He was barely alive.

Summary
Alastor and Vox have been partners for nearly a decade when Vox starts dating Valentino. Their partnership has been peaceful—well, for themselves; Alastor can't vouch for the poor souls surrounding them—that entire time, with nary an attempt to murder one another for power. He thought they were perfectly satisfied!
