Summary
Miranda Lawson and Commander Shepard have a tense relationship. She put her back together, but she only knows what her Alliance file had. She didn't know about her life as a homeless youth. Shepard nearly died more before she joined the military than she did after joining. Comparing childhood traumas about abuse was always going to end in violence. Which was not going to go her way because Shepard is not Miranda's equal in Biotics.
Shepard is at least self aware enough to realize that she's at fault and should apologize. But the only person who can convince Miranda to actually talk is a nearly thousand year old Asari.
Content warning, Shepard references a life as a underage sex worker prior to joining the Reds. Also uses homophobic slurs to refer to herself in a self-deprecating way.
