So I can’t say that I never considered what it would be like if I went on such an adventure. What I can say, is that I never expected to land in my mother’s fandom.

Firefoot may be a horse, but he is a wise horse and he knows what he wants and thinks. In his humble opinion, Éomer is a good master who is quite easy to train to be an even better master. In his humble opinion, Éomer is smart enough to appreciate a good horse and not get any foolish ideas.
In Aragorn's opinion, if not Éomer drives him mad, Firefoot will surely do it, for the horse is as untamed as the master. This however is a relationship that works very well for them and Aragorn is grateful for it.
This story is written to explore the relationship between Éomer and his horse Firefoot. Each chapter is a stand alone, so while I may add more now and again, it will never be incomplete, though it might at times refer back to previous chapters.

"But - I'm needed in Asgard." The protest didn't have a lot of force to it. It was the truth, or else she couldn't say it, but if she was honest with herself she didn't want to go back. Not right away. Maybe she was trading a golden cage for a black one, but at least here everyone was already dead. No one would drag her out of the house insisting she had to heal this person or that. She could rest a bit, gather her strength. Maybe they'd realize they could live without her for a day or two.
“Asgard will survive, I assure you,” Loki said dismissively.
