That was how long I had been in this place. The pale blue shackles eating away at my wrists had never been removed and were fused now with my skin where it had gaped and bled and grown to absorb the metal. What abilities I could access felt like a blessing from the Mother herself.

I wasn’t destined to take down armies. I was sent to protect the girls in this camp from the confines of my little grey cell until the moment struck and I could free us–truly free us.
