Summary
Three weeks before Henry Fox's tour for his fourth, highly anticipated, awards-bait novel A Brief War in December begins, his publicist Janella breaks her foot on a bunny slope at Windham.
Alex can't be mad at her, even though he kind of is. Saying it out loud would be like kicking her when she was down, and she already went down a literal mountain in the worst way possible.
Now crammed in Rafael Luna's corner office, Janella is shooting Alex extremely apologetic looks while slumped on her crutches, wearing a bright orange cast. The conversation about who is going to be joining Henry Fox on his multi-city trek across the U.S. is also going downhill. Alex is feeling the same sort of free fall while standing still.
Because out of all the publicists available in their tiny underfunded department, the only one left to escort their company's best-selling author is regrettably him.
The problem is, well, Alex absolutely hates Henry Fox.
Or: Alex is the publicist for Mountchristen Publishers, and is stuck on a two-week tour with their best-selling, but frustrating, author Henry Fox.

Jaskier looked down and tugged on the front of his shirt as if he had to remind himself what was on it. He beamed at Geralt. “Yeah! Do you like it?”
“Not particularly.”
The smile swiftly disappeared.
“It’s not terrible,” he amended, stepping back to let Jaskier inside the apartment. Then Jaskier’s initial words sank in. “Wait. Yen did what?”
Hanging up on Yennefer was always a mistake.

Summary
And then – Leo laughs, high and squeaky, and Foolish can’t help but hear her father in it as her cheeks turn rosy and she kicks her legs in delight beneath the table. Now that she’s smiling, he can see that her two front teeth are missing, and the sight of her shining eyes and wide, delighted smile is so adorable that Foolish has to take a breath for a moment, feeling strangely light. Involuntarily, his eyes flick to the man beside him – and Vegetta is looking at Leo with wonder in his eyes: something like surprise and disbelief and elation all at once throwing sparkling lights across his expression. Then he turns, too, and meets Foolish’s eyes, and Foolish gets to watch in real time how his eyes transition from one film reel to another; melt from the softly adoring, parental love of a father to the bone deep, all-consuming love of a partner. It’s then that some deep, hidden puzzle piece slots into place within Foolish, and he feels a sense of rightness he never has before. Vegetta’s hand finds his beneath the table, and Leo’s foot kicks his shin as she laughs, and she doesn’t shy away. None of them do.

Cellbit quickly cuts him off, “What’s your name, if you don’t mind me asking? I feel like it’s only fair, since you apparently know so much about me.”
The guy schools his expression into something more neutral, but Cellbit can tell he’s just dying to be rude- he probably would’ve already had some sort of smart ass response if they weren’t currently in a classroom surrounded by other parents. Instead, the man responds, “My name’s Roier. My son’s name is Bobby, in case you were wondering that, too.”
Cellbit definitely was wondering, so he can tell Richarlyson which kid to stay away from.
