Summary
The miracle was mysterious. Who would have guessed that when her triplets touched their new doors, large and expansive magical rooms lay behind them? And then, the magic settled upon the children! Pepa, her beautiful firecracker, was radiating with sunshine! Actual sunshine! Within a few hours, Bruno's eyes had glowed. She was certain he had been possessed it was so frightening. But then he spouted what they soon discovered was a prophecy. Her darling boy could see the future! Oh yes, and there was Julieta. Calm and steady, quiet and excited about her siblings' new magic. But what about her? She couldn't create weather. She couldn't see the future. She couldn't seem to do anything magical. Her room was...ordinary. Like her. It was still a brand new room, all for herself. Alma had never had that as a child. But the miracle had decided two children with magic was enough. And Alma couldn't hide the fact that she was relieved.
A story about how, of all the magical Madrigals, Julieta may have had a unique understanding of Mirabel's feelings following the disappearance of her door.

Summary
Mirabel has friends with the traders that travel in, and toxic living situations are easier to see from the outside in. After being gifted one too many therapy books, and told she could come with them anytime she wished. Mirabel finally sees her family isn't doing well. But she is knowledgeable enough to know she can't fix this herself, they have to do it. So she secretly tells Antonio that she plans to go on a pilgrimage out of Encanto, he gets her to stay until his gift ceremony. And before the dawn lights the sky Mirabel spirits herself away to go on her journey to heal the unseen wounds of being seen as the worthless one has caused and find genuine love along the way.

There's more to the Madrigal family than just magical Gifts. Everyone has their own skills, but Mirabel's are often overlooked as the town usually only sees the physical disabilities she was born with.
(This still takes place in the Encanto valley, but it's a present-day timeline so technology and such would mostly match what we have now.)

Summary
In the collapse of Castia, it is assumed that the Candle and the Magic are gone and Mirabel is pronounced dead. A week later, Mirabel appears at the church where her family is staying and is covered in dirty, cuts and strange markings around her body. While her family grapples with this new revelation they struggle and desperately cling to what little they have of Mirabel that is left before she is gone again.

Summary
Mirabel is pushed too far. She doesn’t snap, cry, or scream. She stays silent. Too silent. She purposefully distances herself from her family, they only see her during meals, but she never stays long and is deathly quiet. No one really notices until villagers start asking for help on things they've never done before, until they notice some of Mirabel's things thrown into the trash, until the children and Antonio ask where is Mirabel constantly, and until her lovely bright embroidered dress loses all its color and design. Julieta, struck with a sense of deja vu, sees all of this happening, against her mother's judgment who believes Mirabel is doing all this for attention, is determined to show her daughter that she is loved and needed here, regardless of what anyone says.

When Pedro lost his wife and was given a miracle in her place, he swore, that no matter the cost to himself, he would protect his family from any harm. The gifts that were given to his children and grandchildren were ways he could ensure that they stayed safe. When Mirabel didn't get a gift, he didn't give a second thought to the safety of the candle. All he could think about was how his little mariposa was left without this invaluable protection. So he did what any sane, loving abuelo would do. He spent every spare moment of his time making sure Mirabel was out of any kind of danger.
Or, he tries to. But there's such thing as too much attention, and the family works together to give him both peace of mind and themselves the freedom they all so desperately crave.

Summary
When her Gift ceremony goes horribly awry, young Mirabel Madrigal flees the Encanto towards a river. However, when a storm hits, she is swept away and loses her memories in the process.
Fished out and raised by a kindly man named Pedro, Mirabel grows up in a small town not unlike the one she ran away from, blissfully unaware of the chaos that is brewing, or the true connection Pedro has to the family she left behind.
As it is, fate does not like it when issues are left unresolved.
When Mirabel is fifteen, she and “Abuelo” Pedro make the annual pilgrimage to memorialise the family he lost fifty years prior, only to watch in disbelief as a distant mountain splits in two down the middle.
Fuelled by the unbelievable sight and their thirst for adventure, Mirabel and Pedro make the trek through the open mountain and arrive at a small, isolated village that had seen better days.
Neither of them know it then, but they are about to upend the world of an entire family who had just gone through the worst day of their lives.

What if instead of Mirabel being pushed to the side after her ceremony her Abuela still treats her as her precious granddaughter and remind her that she is still as special as the rest of her family in her own way. What if Alma makes little changes in the beginning with how she treats her family and especially how townsfolk treat Bruno; what will happen? Will the cracks still surface or those little changes strengthen the Miracle?

So why does she suddenly have these amazing powers? Mister Miracle, had always preached that the more power one has, the more responsability that power entails. But Mirabel still isn't convinced.
After a chance encounter with a supervillain, Mirabel is forced to use her superpowers, which ropes her in with the Encanto's battle against the villain. After witnessing the sacrifice and pain the heroes go through, Mirabel truly realizes what Mister Miracle's words meant.
With great power, comes great responsability; to others.

It was normal for Mirabel to avoid public functions. Alma noticed that she was uncomfortable in crowds, which could be because she didn’t fit in much with the family.
But, her absence in the family photo celebrating Antonio’s new gift bothered Alma greatly, even if she didn’t let on about it. Mirabel had taken him to his door, and she deserved to be beside him to celebrate this new miracle.
So, why was she absent here? It didn’t make sense. Why would she draw attention to herself and then avoid a picture capturing the moment Antonio was blessed?
Alma wasn’t going to let this slide. She would get to the bottom of why Mirabel stayed out of family functions and pictures.
Even without some magic gift, she was still a Madrigal. Surely, she knew that.

Alma notices Mirabel wasn’t in the family photo. While correcting this error, she finds out there’s more underneath the surface of an absence in a photo.
