He understood that changing his identity meant that - for a long time, perhaps forever - there was no having late night talks with his squad companions, or flying on Marbh unless strictly necessary and definitely meant he would not hold either Mira nor Violet in an embrace.
Brennan knew it all. Yet, emotions were pathologically irrational.

When Tamara replies with a confounding series of emojis and a heartfelt request that Officer Zaddy help her study for her psych test, Lucy says she'll see what she can do.
