Summary
Dragons were an insular, reclusive species. Hunts of old drove them to the brink of extinction, leaving the few remaining clans with a well earned wariness, if not outright fear, of the world at large. They stayed hidden, either far from prying in the wildest regions of the world or in plain sight. Most of the rest of the world knew very little about them, aside from the sparse rumors and folklore that remain from days of old, and the clans were happy to keep it that way. The less the outside world meddled in their affairs, the happier they were.
That said, one thing was well known and documented about dragons: possessiveness was written in their blood.
Or, John "Soap" MacTavish is a dragon. Task Force 141 is his hoard. This changes everything, and nothing at all.

Summary
Bilbo has been blessed with a great gift, even if he doesn't see it that way, the ability to speak with the birds. Only, it comes with a price. He can not speak any language that people can unless it is a language spoken by the Valar. Being left alone with only his feathered-friends, Bilbo is given an intriguing proposition by Gandalf. Help the displaced dwarves with retaking their mountain on the hope that he might be taught Khuzdul in return. Only there is a hiccup Bilbo did not foresee, the creature they need his help with ousting...is a dragon.

Summary
It's been fifty four days since Ghost shut down, cold and silent as he stormed out of his quarters. Soap fucked up, plain and simple. He said something he shouldn’t have, didn’t give any thought to how it could be taken, and he knew it the moment it left his lips. Some nights he wants to barge inside Ghost’s room and beg him to just end it all, to smother Soap's misery gone. Soap can’t recall how he went through life before Ghost, but he can’t go on after him.
There is no after Simon Riley.

‘I’d do it,’ he insisted, finding Johnny’s hand and squeezing it as much as he could, voice breaking over emotions he was too drugged-up to truly comprehend. ‘Next lifetime?’
‘Aye, Simon,’ Soap nodded, lips wobbling as he was fighting back his tears, fisting Ghost’s hospital gown just a bit more desperately. ‘I’ll take ye up on that.’or
Waiting for too long, holding back in the line of duty, Simon and Johnny get another chance to find our if their banter was ever meant to be something more.
