Summary
Riku doesn’t just get what he wants without working for it; that’s not how his life works. If he gets what he wants something awful happens, and under no circumstances can he allow anything else awful to happen to Sora. He’s been through enough for lifetimes.
But gods he wants him so badly. He wants to hold him close and tell him everything will be okay the way he’d always dreamed of, to kiss him silly and shower him with all the devotion and love he’s held back for all these years, to make him feel special and loved and adored the way Sora has always deserved, but his stupid heart can’t take the strain of all the emotions he’s feeling at getting his entire worldview completely shattered.
(Post-Canon: Sora surprises Riku with a sudden confession, and Riku’s poor heart has a hard time accepting it)

Summary
They both really have grown so much in their year apart, and the way this older Riku is looking at him, hand on his cheek like he’s something precious, sends his heart racing. Riku’s eyes are so fond, soft and affectionate in a way Sora has never seen Riku look, and Sora can’t keep himself from staring right back, feeling a bit bashful.
(Set during KH2, Canon divergence- Basically a sappier rewrite of the blindfold scene)

Noriaki notices the way Jotaro squirms, how when he turns away he’s pressing his thighs together slightly. No one else could possibly see it, but Noriaki is so attuned to Jotaro’s minuscule tells that it’s blatantly obvious to them how frustrated he is. Their partner has been distracted this entire shopping trip and it’s apparent now that it’s not out of boredom- he’s been hungrily dragging his eyes across them any time he thought Noriaki wasn't looking, but Noriaki is perceptive in all things Jotaro and they’re a little disappointed Jotaro didn’t just outright tell them what he wants. They’ll have to punish him for that.
(Noriaki goes clothes shopping and Jotaro has a hard time keeping his composure)

It’s hard not to snap at the clueless classmates that gawk at him when he’s blankly reliving some traumatic event, because really it’s not their fault they have no idea what he went through, what he sacrificed, how he still can’t even hold a simple kitchen knife without trembling. All he can do is bottle up his emotions and go through the day like he always does, basically radiating tension as he sits in the back of the classroom. Thankfully, between his festering bad mood and delinquent reputation, the other students seem to get the picture and leave him alone.
Noriaki Kakyoin does not.

Ryou felt cold.
He was laying down in some dimly lit room, the stone walls surrounding him only managing to make his chill run deeper. He wasn't sure how long he'd been there, trapped in the dark recesses of his own mind. He hadn't had any visitors, apparently the people controlling his body didn't seem to think he was worthy of even a basic greeting.
