    Caine had always wondered if he wasn't a good host for his humans, but to get blatant, downright irrefutable evidence that no one liked him?

    ..that no one loved him?

    In a panic, Caine willed himself back to his office, snapping his fingers to ensure the door was locked. None of the humans knew where his office was, or even had the means to get to it, but he still didn't want to take the chance. His eyes, flickering between red and blue, darted around the room. He needed an outlet, he couldn't just let this frenzy lay waste untouched, left to run around in his mind and crash into every wall in its path.

    And then Caine got an idea.
