Turning up his nose at medicine because it tasted “yucky.”
Atsushi doesn’t have much experience taking care of sick people. Dazai doesn’t have much experience being sick.
Seems they both will learn something new today.

“…So?” he asks, lifting the capsule into his hand. “What do you want?” The question comes out blunter than he intends, but Mori doesn't seem remotely bothered by it.
“Ohhhh, nothing much, nothing much!” Mori replies with an airy wave of his hand. “I'm just here to pass on some news.”
“Alright…?”
Then Mori opens his mouth.
“Dazai is going to start courting you tomorrow.”
Suddenly, sitting on the floor of his little gachapon shop, surrounded by colorful capsules and smiling keychains, Atsushi feels much older than twenty-two.

"Dazai?" he asks hesitantly.
"Hm?"
"I was scent marking you, wasn't I?"
For a moment Dazai simply looks at him. Then one bandaged hand reaches across the small space between their desks and wraps gently around Atsushi's wrist.
Immediately, Atsushi's attention shifts.
Cherries and whiskey. Plums and rainwater. The scents mingle together effortlessly until he can barely tell where one ends and the other begins. The combination settles something deep inside him. His shoulders loosen. The lingering tension beneath his skin melts away.
Safe.
The thought arrives without warning.
If he closed his eyes right now, if he rested his head on his desk and drifted off to sleep, he knows Dazai would stay. He knows Dazai would make sure nothing happened to him.
"Yep," Dazai says easily. "Just some scent marking."
