Summary
As Bilbo skimmed through the contract, Thorin leaned closer to Gandalf, voice low, "I cannot guarantee his safety."
"Understood," the wizard nodded.
"Nor will I be responsible for his fate."
"Agreed."
"And you are certain he can handle my sister-sons? He does not look to have any children of his own."
"I'm sure he will manage." Gandalf gave him one of his signature smirks, one that managed to both calm Thorin's thoughts and make them significantly worse at the same time.
OR: When Bilbo decides to join Thorin's Company as a burglar and a babysitter, he expects to watch over Thorin's nephews, maybe tutor them a few times a week, and eventually steal something from the Lonely Mountain. He did not expect, however, to really care for these dwarves in a way he had never felt about any other hobbit.

Summary
Tim Drake is used to taking care of himself. It's an old habit he picked up straight from when he was old enough to comprehend the English language. So, when he wakes up in the middle of the night, next to his dead laptop, stomach violently churning and skin soaked in sweat, he quickly rubs his eyes to keep himself awake long enough to get to the washroom. Tim opts for sitting on the cold tile floor, his knees curled up in a fruitless attempt to stop feeling like he's about to die at the hands of Mr. Freeze.
OR: When Tim wakes up feeling ill, he decides that living on the bathroom floor with a singular bathmat for warmth is a good idea. Thankfully, his new family is willing to help him out a bit.

It's odd for Bruce to see as many of his kids at the table together as he is right now, but it's not odd to see them all arguing, screaming about banning, holes, and crowbars..?
