Summary
Before tragedy can strike, Harry (or, more accurately, Hermione) remembers the mirror connected to Sirius at Grimmauld Place. None of them go to the Department of Mysteries that night, meaning that Harry never loses his godfather, and Remus never loses the love of his life.

"They sat there, two damaged men and one damaged boy, letting the grief wash over them, letting it drown them for a moment so that they could finally breathe again. After a few minutes, Harry sniffed loudly, and then raised his head from its spot on Sirius’s shoulder, leaving a wet spot on the grey sweater. “I don’t care that you’re gay,” he mumbled. “I’m happy you’re together after all this time. And I really do want you to be my family.” He took a shaky breath.Sirius caught Remus’s eye again over Harry’s head, giving him a relieved smile. “We want that too, Harry, more than anything,” he said, Remus nodding emphatically in agreement."

Summary
(summary and tags contain SPOILERS for earlier works in the series!)
Shane and Ilya are champions. They are partners, and they’re in it for life. And people are starting to notice.
After being traumatically outed two years ago, Shane and Ilya's relationship and their lives have been fundamentally changed, and most days, Shane thinks that's a good thing. But sometimes, the pressure of being out, and the endless online speculation about #hollanov, and rumors running rampant through the NHL, and a new generation of rookies looking up to them, and the knowledge that everyone is relying on Shane Hollander to be perfect at all times—sometimes it's a lot.
But Shane's dealing with it. Ilya seems happier than he's ever been, and Shane just needs to get his act together to support his husband. He can do that. He needs to, and he will, if he doesn't crack under the pressure first.
They've got a second Stanley Cup to win, after all.

Summary
Shane is heavier than he used to be; his weight bears down on Ilya in a new way. He’s put on pounds of muscle since Ilya last touched him like this. Ilya flattens his palms, skims them under Shane’s undershirt, feels the flat solidity of his abs, the bulk of his lats, the swell of his chest. It’s the same and it’s new, this body; it’s the boy he couldn’t stop thinking about when he was 18 and the man he loved enough to let go at 26 and the person who somehow always comes to find him when he’s lost.
A stranger, and the love of his life.
—
or, Ilya's father doesn't die in 2017; Ilya breaks up with Shane instead of confessing his love. They get older, but not any less stupid about each other. Shane gets a boyfriend; Ilya gets on medication; they work on becoming whole people. And they always find their way back to each other.
OR a story for those who love Shane and Ilya's baby love but ALSO think it's hot when people in their thirties make active choices about who they are and what they want in their partner!!
Note: the "cheating" tag refers to the relationship between Shane and his aforementioned BF, not to Shane and Ilya cheating on each other.

Summary
After the Tuna Melt Incident, Shane and Ilya gradually started drifting apart. Texts became more scarce, hook-ups less frequent and feelings pushed aside until, in the moment of absolute panic, Shane ghosted Ilya fully.
Now, three years later, Shane Hollander and Rose Landry are engaged. Shane's life finally seems to be going in the right direction. No distractions, great girl, lots of hockey.
And then the new season starts and trades between teams happen.
And Ilya Rozanov, whom Shane promised himself to forget, is suddenly on the same team.
And, worst of all, he becomes the Alternate Captain.- Language:

or 'Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and The Goblet of Fire'.
The second instalment in my re-write which takes into account the real world lunar calendar. Read the first book here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/51944077/chapters/131351527 to see how it changed things in The Prisoner of Azkaban.
SPOILERS for a winterbluegreenstar below...
This story begins with Remus and Sirius moving into 12 Grimmauld Place, in preparation for a summer visit from Harry. What they will find there though is much more than either expected... A rewrite of Goblet of Fire, with what would have happened if Harry had had two very attentive mentors with nothing better to do than start working out trying to make everyones lives better.

Summary
Sirius knew that he wasn’t considered a good person. As a matter of fact he wasn’t good at anything at all. Not a good son or brother or student or cousin or protector. But the truth was that he tried. He tried so hard, too hard. It hurts when his younger brother keeps pushing him away after they left their parents home and chose to move in together, but if Sirius can’t be good, he wants to find something good to live for.
When they moved to a small town in rural England after escaping their parents, Regulus was determined to ignore his older brother at all costs. What neither expected was for their lives, relationships and friendships to intertwine so deeply they had no choice to face each other and reconcile with how much they had suffered.
