“You’re a brave little human,” the hybrid said, even as he looked up at Kiyoomi, the scant height difference between them nothing compared to how much thicker his muscles were, “and nosy, too. You’re lookin’ for somethin’, ain’t ya?”
“Just curious,” Kiyoomi lied, but the hybrid still seemed dubious.
“Curious, huh?” The word curled over his tongue with uncertainty, and he chased it by licking his lips, stepping back. “Well, curiosity never helped anyone, did it?"
Kiyoomi follows a story his grandmother told him, about a powerful plant that grew in the heart of the foxgrove.
He finds Atsumu instead, a fox hybrid that blocks the way to an abandoned shrine. Maybe Atsumu'll give him the power he seeks.

Summary
Atsumu’s body runs cold - not from the February chill, but from the sheer terror that grips his heart. For a second he struggles to speak, to move, do anything.
Then he regains control of his body and stumbles back until he hits a tree.
“What the fuck?” He gasps, eyes wide as he stares at the massive fucking knife in Endo’s hands. That’s not even a regular size - that’s what a fucking butcher uses.
Atsumu knows it's going to be a shitty day. Has known since he woke up with his brain jackhammering in his skull. What he isn't expecting, however, is to meet a classmate who hates his guts in the middle of a forest and struggle to survive in a race for his own life.
