This, of course, means that a chaotic new companionship gets formed in the echo chamber of a pair of extremely reclusive and socially bizarre classmates when their "normal" best friends leave them to their own devices.
One night, Todoroki Shouto and Bakugou Katsuki, said introverts, come up with a highly competitive romantic bet while nursing broken hearts over the sunshiney yet apparently straight dudes in their lives. The game: play matchmaker and find the other the perfect "gay and insane" boyfriend by the school festival. Naturally, due to their extremely competitive natures, growing closeness with each other, and complete mutual lack of social and emotional skills, The Bet immediately goes off the rails and spirals into something that U.A. has never seen before.

Sure, it was never a huge, crazy need, but he’s certainly not opposed to it. Again, they’re fucking dating now, so of course he wants to do stupid romantic shit with Eijirou. He’s thought about it once or twice, letting his mind wander when he doesn’t have to be paying attention in classes or when he’s not training. And he’s certainly dreamed about it an annoyingly embarrassing amount (the count is now up to five dreams starting from the one from his stupid pining shit, yes he’s keeping track, fuck you). "

He wanted to tell her to fuck off, but that seemed rude. Instead, he opted for a gruff, "Damn right I fucking can."

“Bakugou sent you to ask me to date him?” Kirishima asks, baffled.
“Of course not. We, his people, are asking you to date him. He’s going to have to get on board, if he wants his career to survive. And in the bargain, Riot will get all sorts of publicity, because their lyricist will be dating one of the industry’s hottest stars. A win for everyone.”
When Kirishima Eijirou's band hits the big time, he's not prepared for his newfound fame. He's even less prepared to meet the actor he's been crushing on for years, or to start dating him as a publicity stunt. The closer Kirishima gets to Bakugou Katsuki, the more he realizes he's in over his head. But it's hard to stop, once his heart is in it.
