During this time, Midoriya is separated from his classmates, and comes across someone new.
Come everyone's return, they're surprised with a visit from this new person at the start of their second year.
Many of Izuku's classmates find they do not like Izuku's new "friend".

Summary
If Bakugo could be muzzled after the sports festival, it was because UA had a muzzle. Which isn't logical, since a high school, even a heroic one, shouldn't be in possession of a muzzle. Why not? Because you simply don't muzzle your students.
OR: Bakugo is muzzled after the Sport Festival. Midoriya is pissed. Aizawa is pissed.

he knows that's not right as much as his mind screams at him to just double-check, and he reaches out for the package. nothing explodes when he gathers it, nothing pops out at him when he opens it up, and its only contents are a sea of useless, annoying packing peanuts and a tape that looks far too out of date to produce the high-quality visuals the last recording had.
