"What?"
I said," Kaoru replies slowly, "when are you going to talk to Reki?"
Kojiro looks up from the cutting board. "About what?"
"Playing dumb doesn't do you any favors."
Kojiro turns away with a huff. "Being a dick doesn't do you any, either."
Kaoru sighs. "You really haven't noticed?"
In all honesty, Kojiro has noticed that something is up with Reki. As his pack leader, anything else would be neglectful.
It's blatantly obvious that something changed when the kid presented. Kojiro's tried not to think into it, but it's hard not to considering how well acquianted he is with omegas and their… signs.
Reki changes once he presents as an omega. Kojiro feels it. Sees it. Smells it. Still, he refuses to give in to either of their instincts and wants.
Until his beta mate, Kaoru, finally has had enough.

He hated him.
He hated watching his beloved Eve hang off of him, listening to his constant chattering as if he was speaking some divine truth, openly holding each other like no one else mattered, and trading glances that only they knew the answers to. He hated it. Every second of it only made it harder and harder for Ainosuke to stomach it and when he finally did snap, all it did was leave him hollow inside. No closer to having his Eve hold him or understanding why someone like Eve would even waste his time on some second rate skater. All Ainosuke could do was stare bitterly at his memories as they drove off, trying desperately to understand the one question about Reki Kyan that seemed to plague him around every corner these last 2 years…

Reki may not have won the race, but seeing Adam face-plant into the mud was priceless. And even though he lost, the crowd is still… chanting his name? Cheering for him? Acknowledging he exists?
Him.
Not the redhead.
Not the one who isn’t Langa.
Reki.
It’s a first. And honestly, it feels pretty damn good.
At least it does until a hand grabs the neck of his hoodie and rudely yanks him out of the fetal position he’d curled up in.
(Or: I wanted a bit more from the ending of episode 11 and couldn’t find anything that scratched the itch so I tried to write it myself)

“Oh. It’s not a big deal with Adam, exclusive or anything. I just felt lonely, after uhm …” Langa trails off, clearing his throat, brushing past their time apart. “So, it happened a few times, but if you want me to stop seeing him, I will.”
Reki asks Langa out in an attempt to stop him from seeing Adam. Because if Adam is dangerous on a skateboard, Reki can’t imagine how he’d be as a romantic partner. He’s just watching out for his best friend, right?
Langa says yes, but it’s a little too late to undo his preferences in bed; Reki attempts to sort that (and his feelings) out.
