After being healed for the second time by Recovery Girl, Shoto was exhausted. His mind kept looping back to bright blue flames and brighter eyes, relentless and anxious with the implications of this new development… and what it mean both for him, and his family.
Or, the Todorokis visit Shoto in the UA infirmary after the events of Devolution, where Shoto used blue flames in his fight against class 1-B’s Tetsutetsu.

Summary
They were going to lose the round because of his reluctance to use his fire, and he planned to change that. So, Todoroki Shoto had to defeat Tetsutetsu-- he needed to. He couldn't fail his team again.
What he didn't expect was the oppresive heat of the blue flames bursting out of him.

A different set of events for BNHA's season 5 ep 8, where Todoroki's 1-A team go against Tetsutetsu's 1-B team. Instead of Todoroki getting bonked over the head and passing out, he brings the left side of his quirk to the very limit, making his flames hotter and hotter until blue fire comes out instead.
