When the High Lord of Summer invited the Inner Circle for a gathering in Adriata, it offered them a brief respite from all the recovery to be done after the war. Azriel, in particular, thought there was no better way to spend the day than right by Elain’s side.
There was only one discovery at the end of the night: A drunk Elain is a daring Elain, and she wanted to learn how to winnow. The second discovery and perhaps the most unnerving of all since they’re still in Adriata: she succeeded on the first try.
