No really, it was something that Jason felt the Bats would laugh about, while also helping out some street kids along the way.
He put out a job for the kids of Crime Alley, anyone who could pickpocket the entire Wayne family would get all necessities paid for them by Red Hood until they turned 18.
Most kids that saw the challenge would think it was a joke.
Most kids that believed it was real would think it wasn't even worth trying.
Most kids that tried would be caught immediately, and subsequently get a meal paid for by their Wayne of choice and suddenly have some doors opened for them, because Jason knew his family and knew they had a soft spot for kids.

This is a "What If?" re-write I've been working on in my head. The "What if?" part is, "What if the Shield Hero was actually a 70-something retiree who makes better life choices because he's got a lifetime of experience under his belt?"
Normally I wouldn't even bother posting this but someone on a fan site asked to see it so I figured I'd give it a try here. If folks actually like it, I'll keep up with posting new chapters but if it falls flat (like I think it will) I'll probably stop. So, if you like it, you better comment as such or at least hit the kudo button.
Also for those that wonder, you better bet this is an author insertion fanfic. Granted, I'm not 70-something but I am closer to that than sixteen. Once I manage to get "The Shield With No Name" out of the city, expect a large divergence from that actual story though.

Hatter finds these strange anomalies in our world which at the moment lets dinosaurs through from the past, and he realises he can use these anomalies to try and get back to Wonderland. All he has to do is go undercover, pretend to be someone else, and fight a ton of prehistoric dinosaurs.
It's all for the love of a pretty girl he once met in a wet dress, but Hatter figures... he once fought a Jabberwocky. How hard could dinosaurs be?

She fled in a tangle of panic and fury, and as a result of this, instead of running toward another town, she helplessly stumbled deeper into the forest. Kotoha couldn't afford to turn back. Her husband would kill her and Inosuke both if he caught them, and her mother-in-law would not stop him.
She kept running until she stumbled across a scene she was never meant to see: a man with bright pink hair that was covered in tattoos hunched over a deer's corpse, rending it apart with claws and teeth. It was terrifying, it was monstrous, it was...
The man locked eyes with her, and all she could see was concern and compassion. How could someone so terrifying look at her like that when her own husband...?
And why did something about his expression feel familiar?
