Summary
The door in the tree should not exist. With hunters on his trail and wolfsbane burning through his veins, Derek Hale has no time to question impossibilities; he forces it open and falls into the dark. When he wakes, the world is different: a ceiling of living branches, light with no source, and a strange fae with bluish skin chattering as he tends to Derek’s wounds.
Stiles collects lichens, wears flowers that shift with moods Derek cannot read, and his wings scatter light across the walls. He is chaotic, eccentric, entirely other, and carries a beauty that belongs to no world Derek has ever known.
Derek never asked to be saved. Never asked for the endless garden, or for the way his heart stumbles whenever those eyes linger on him. But the Fae Realm has laws: guests must rest, and no one dies without permission. Leaving, Derek is learning, may be another matter.
When he returns to Beacon Hills, he does not return alone. The pack has questions. The hunters still circle. And the fae at his side smiles like he knows something no one else does.
No one in Beacon Hills knows the Fair Folk.

Summary
Matt stood there next to him, red solo cup in hand, and his camera dangled from the strap around his neck.
"You know what your problem is?"
Stiles felt his eyes slightly widen, taken aback because what the fuck does that mean?
"Interesting way to greet someone, dude," He tried to sound playful, but he was slightly annoyed now, so he was sure that was noticeable in his voice and expression. Matt ignored his comment completely and turned around to look outside through the open sliding door, pointing a finger toward it with the hand still around his cup.
Stiles looked over his shoulder at what —who— Matt was pointing at. Scott stood there, talking and laughing with Liam, who had made his way outside without him noticing. Liam's friends, Corey, Mason and Hayden, were there too, accompanied by Isaac, who dragged Boyd and Erica along. Then there were Danny and Jackson, with Lydia huddled close to Allison.
"You're their DUFF."
"Their what?"
"DUFF— designated ugly fat friend," Stiles stayed silent and shifted his gaze back to the friend group outside, "You and I? We make them look better, more popular, more desirable." All Stiles could do was laugh.

Every werewolf has an anchor to their humanity, they just have to find it. Derek begrudgingly teaches Stiles about being a werewolf after Stiles is bitten and left inside the ruins of the Hale house. Alternate Universe, things will definitely change.

"What?" Stiles asked again, because what else was he supposed to do? It wasn't possible. It just wasn't.
"I said I don't think I can handle your fragile self anymore," Scott repeated. "You complain about everything. Everything hurts you. I don't know what to do anymore. Everything in this world will continue to hurt you. You can't protect yourself, so I'm always down a hand, because someone constantly has to be on 'Stiles duty.' You need to be babysat, and I can't afford to lose someone every time there's a threat in this city, because it happens a lot. And you keep putting yourself at risk. I don't know how to deal with this anymore. It's getting tiring."
