Hob feels his mind receding from the situation no matter how much he tries to keep his grasp on reality. His head and back pulsate with throbs of pain, and vertigo wraps him despite him remaining on the ground.
He dimly notes how his eyes have slipped shut without his knowing, but fails to will them open.
There is no way for Hob to dissect the intentions of Wuvvy. His military mind loathes for his body to be left unconscious and unguarded against one who challenged him to such a puzzling duel, and had struck him with such precision and skill.

During his escape from Prince Apollo's attacks in the forest, the arrows burried in K.P's back explode. Deeply wounded, he goes into hiding like a prey animal.

“Grace leaking,” Rocky said, scrambling forward and chirping in distress. “Grace bad leaking!” Grace paused as he felt his nose drip. “It’s just snot, Rocky,” Grace said, going to grab a tissue.
“No, no, no, no! Bad leak! Bad leak!” Rocky exclaimed, his whistling tones wavering as he followed Grace.

Grace gets a nosebleed and doesn't realize it. The last time Rocky saw blood come from Grace's head, Grace almost died. Rocky panics.

He’s not exactly surprised that Rocky’s noticed his increased discomfort. He figures it’s because of the lack of painkillers and from spending hours inspecting the fuel lines for Taumoeba contamination, but doesn’t voice it. He knows the Eridian already feels bad about his ammonia burns and pushing him off the pain meds.’
