Summary
Crowley is hopelessly in love with his best friend. Too bad that “his angel,” as he likes to call him, never seems to notice… until one drunken night Aziraphale casually confesses—in great detail—that he slept with a charming stranger and, what’s worse, they already have a second date lined up.
Hurt, drunk, and desperate to scream at the ducks in St. James’s Park, Crowley does what anyone in his shoes would do: throw up in an alley and then look for comfort in another bar. There he meets an American, as handsome as he is charming, and ends up tangled with him between sheets—and in a few other corners of his flat.
The problem is that fate is a bastard.
Now Crowley has to tell the love of his life that he slept with his brand-new boyfriend because he was in love with him.

Summary
Aziraphale has read every book in his shop at least once. He has reread some of his favored volumes dozens of times, has memorized whole great swaths of them. If his own words are insufficient to convince Crowley of his sincerity, then perhaps the words of others can!
(He might have the decency to ask the books what they thought of this plan. The books had been watching the two of them for over a hundred years, and certainly had a great deal to say on the matter. But Aziraphale neglects to consult them, and thus will be very unprepared for what happens next.)
Back on earth, Aziraphale tries to apologize.

Summary
Aziraphale Eastgate has lived under the criteria of his father for his 26 years of life. Matthew Tron Eastgate decided his career, university, and even where to start working. The only lights in his life are his sister and his true passion, the violin, which even his father controls as he prefers. So much so that he offers it, with no room for objections, to his best friend, James Archer, owner of the largest record label in the country, to join as a violin replacement in his star band 'Edens.'
Aziraphale accepts the attractive idea of escaping his father's yoke for some months while gathering enough money to leave his home and study a new career.
What could go wrong? Even though the band's fierce and impulsive lead vocalist speaks to him with contempt, but the redhead can't take his eyes off him.

Bookmarker's Notes
This is a story that hits where it hurts most, but also soothes where it’s most needed. With a mature, intimate, and emotionally honest narrative, the author takes us deep into the broken souls of the protagonists, confronting them with past wounds, questionable choices, and an industry as dazzling as it is cruel.
The strength of this story lies not only in the romantic tension between the characters, but in how they rebuild each other through pain, desire, and guilt. This is not idealized love: it's uncomfortable, full of silences, missteps, and scars. It’s love that has to be earned.
Crowley and Aziraphale feel entirely original in this universe but at the same time, they are still the same characters we already know—it's as if Nass took them and expanded them to an even greater potential.
Their voices are carefully drawn, and the chemistry between them, sometimes tense and sometimes achingly tender, forms the emotional core of the plot. The way trauma and power dynamics are portrayed is unflinching, raw, yet full of compassion and humanity. With scenes charged with eroticism, sharp dialogue, and a melancholic aesthetic reminiscent of indie cinema, Between the Strings is a story unafraid to show the ugly, so the beautiful can shine all the brighter. It’s a story that stays with you. One that leaves a mark.

Summary
“I'm sorry, Aziraphale, but I can't return your feelings,” were Crowley's parting words.
“Oh,” was Aziraphale's, and the world suddenly crumbled underneath his feet as a rift started to form between them.
There's a tragedy that comes with falling in love with one's best friend, and Aziraphale Fell was no stranger to the pain that it brings.

Bookmarker's Notes
Despite the somber undertone that permeates the story, the sweetness and tenderness with which the characters interact turn each chapter into a heartwarming experience. The slow, reflective prose allows readers to fully immerse themselves in the protagonists’ emotions, exploring themes such as love, hope, and the beauty found in quiet moments.
It’s a story that doesn’t need dramatic twists to leave an impact— just honesty, warmth, and a skilled hand.

Summary
Aziraphale is one of the country folk, an alpha, who lives alone in his ancestral home. A massive storm is heading inland and threatening their quiet town with destruction and horror.
Crowley is one of the city folk, an omega, who flees the inescapable cities when they open the dam to let the dead, drowned bodies out of the streets and back into the nearby bayou.
No one has escaped the cities for hundreds of years, not since the last batch fled into the bayou during a similar event. The country folk look upon Crowley as a harbinger of doom as the animals start to escape the bayou, flooding their town with chaos.
Something in the bayou is awake. And she's hungry for blood and meat.
All the while, Crowley tries to ignore the kind alpha who lives the closest to the bayou's border, with a family secret, and something that seems to be... not quite right. All the while being pulled back to him every time he manages to put space between them. After all, Crowley just wants to feel safe. Falling in love was not supposed to be part of his escape plan.

Bookmarker's Notes
Excellent worldbuilding—clearly something the author excels at.
I read their first story and then this one, and you can really see how their writing has improved. I highly recommend reading this author if you're open to much rawer, more unfiltered narratives that still treat their subject matter with respect.
Pros: The emotional depth, character exploration, and immersive worldbuilding make the stories incredibly compelling. There's a strong sense of growth in the author’s craft over time.
Cons:The rawness and intensity of the themes may not be for everyone. Some readers might find the content emotionally heavy or triggering, so it’s worth approaching with that awareness.
