Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood's love was something pure and profound, something powerful enough they changed the whole damn world for how much they did adore one another. Alec had no qualms in showing his affection for Magnus, and this may have shown through in the (admittedly many) times he wound up carrying the High Warlock of Brooklyn in his arms.

Summary
Post The Tower Ending: 2080
It’s been three years since Johnny was ripped outta V’s head and his body was stripped of his heavy chrome. Another year since V woke from the surgery induced coma.He’s still alive—somehow. But his body is different, always hurting, nothing like the sleek-high powered frame that once tore through Night City.
Everyone he knew has moved on.
Most of his friends drifted, the fixers stopped calling, even Kerry, who answered V’s one phone call with vague promises of help—disappeared back into his tour and his fame.
Now, V wakes up each day in a too-quiet apartment and goes to work at the Afterlife as a bartender, learning how to live as a normal person.
Another face in the crowd.
And as for how Kerry has been all these years? Well, he makes music, he sells out stadiums and copes however he can. With whoever he can.
Ultimately it’s a poorly timed message and fate that decides it isn’t done with them yet, and throws them back together with all the subtlety of a car crash. Will they take this second chance?

Summary
Kerry bought V coffee until he’d lost track of how many they had and how long they sat at a table and talked. Just *talked* like normal people, easy and natural, the stories and laughter flowing between them as if they’d been chooms forever. Later, as they stood under the restaurant’s eaves to avoid the rain, Kerry delayed with more conversation, even as he called up a car for himself.
“Not gonna take this one?” V pointed at the sad little piece-of-shit they’d driven here. It had a broken headlight now too, probably from the van exploding earlier.
“Pfft. Ain’t my car. Not driving away from the scene of a crime in my own ride.” Kerry raised a hand in farewell as he darted through the raindrops to the waiting Delamain. “See ya soon, V.”
As the car drove away, V decided he might have developed a new, very real, and completely irrational crush on the silver-haired rockerboy.

Everything is going on fine in V’s life: born and raised as a bodyguard by the Arasaka’s family, his life has always been planned, logical, controlled. Except for the visions that sometimes trigger in his brain seemingly at random. Sensations of hands ghosting over his body and of lips trailing over his skin. Voices too; warm, laughing, whispering in his ear. And a word: Beloved.
It all comes crashing down when Saburo Arasaka travels all the way from Japan to meet his son at the Konpeki Plaza on the same night two mercs raid the suite looking for a piece of tech. As Yorinobu-sama’s personal bodyguard, V is sent to deal with the intruders while the heir investigates his father’s mysterious death by poisoning.
In the penthouse, V fights off the thieves, but everything stops when one of his opponents finally sees his face and freezes. It seems like this merc, which V recognizes as Kerry Eurodyne, one of the top dogs of the Afterlife, knows him. Strange thing is, V is sure they’ve never met. Not in this lifetime, at least.
Using V’s distraction over the eerie meeting, Eurodyne disarms him and makes his escape with his accomplice, but not without leaving a plea against V’s lips: come to The Afterlife.Series
